Lot B paving is completed, and employees are urged to once again utilize
the lot. This is due in part to complaints from mall security about
Chook employees leaving vehicles unattended for long stretches of time.
Employees are reminded that unattended vehicles on Chook property will
be towed, and the owner fined. Fines are payable in cash or comp time.
A memo from Larry Snow:
Any sports leagues or teams are not to be affiliated with Chook
Industries in any way. Chook will neither supply, fund, nor support any
after hours carousing between employees. Your own time, your own dime.
The Thunder-O shoe-mobile has been rescheduled to come Wednesday,
December 12. The shoe-mobile will be located adjacent to cafeteria from

located in the cafeteria. Catalogs, price information, measurement

Effective Dec. 14th, Christmas Club money will be available for

Industries wishes its entire family a very merry Christmas!
Wednesday afternoon a Squeegee was found hanging above TJ's in desk in a
"Blair Witch Project" styled stick-doll with a note attached reading,
"TJ Loves Alice". A fowl smelling substance was also poured into the
drawers of the desk TJ works at. This ruined the desk and replacing it
will cost approximately $1,200. If you have information as to who did
this, please contact the newly implemented Chook Industries P.R.A.N.K.S.
[Persons Reporting Against Negative Known Situations] (CIP.R.A.N.K.S).
If the perpetrators of this act are caught, punishment will be severe.
Due to unforeseen circumstance, any money contributed for this year's
Christmas Club will be repaid in comp time. Comp time can be used in
conjunction with vacation time or by itself, no questions asked.
However, in order to take time off all employees have to fill out a
vacation request forms. Vacation request forms for 2002 are due by noon
tomorrow. Employees are reminded that vacation days are approved on a
first come first serve basis, and those who get their forms in first get
priority. Employees are also reminded that vacation days are paid in
Missing Squeegee: TJ would like to
report that that the squeegee he has offered for sale is missing again.
If you know where it is, please contact him as soon as possible.
Just in time for the holiday shopping rush, the Christmas Club is back!

Subject: Garjoe Theme
I don't understand why the Garjoe theme can't come down already. TJ, I
think Garjoe was a great idea, and I read the comic all the time.
However, as much as I hate to say it, you should have never suggested
the idea, because it doesn't look like it is coming down. Upper
Management tells me that it can't come down because it falls into the
Human Interest Board's jurisdiction, which has since been dissolved.
This can't be possible though, because I still see both those guys who
made it up down in the lunchroom playing Gauntlet all the time.
The ShoeMobile will not be coming this week, so that when they do come
they will have a wider selection of shoes. The ShoeMobile has
rescheduled their visit for Thursday of next week.
The Computer Folks would like to announce that the Computer Countdown is
on with the CPPG seminar, "Buzzwords 1,2,3 - The Grid, Urban Sprawls and
the Future of Computing" which will be held Wednesday, in the afternoon
at 3pm in the Display Wall room with guest speaker Stephanie Klansky.
The Computer Folks will show you "neat stuff" in parallel computing,
scientific visualization, graphical user interfaces, codes integration
and sharing, web based computing or data sharing, or anything else of
general interest and significance in the area of scientific computing,
so why not come and share neat stuff with them. All are welcome,
coffee, cola and cookies will be available.
Chook Industries hopes that all employees had a good Turkey Day.
There will be an interest meeting in the employee lounge on the 28th of this month to determine support for an employee-bowling league.
There have been some questions as to when the Thanksgiving motif will go
up, and the Halloween motif of the 2001 Halloween Party for Chook
Industries will come down. No definite date has been set for the change
over at this time. As soon as this information becomes available, it
will be posted on the large bulletin board adjacent to the Chainmail
Express office. Additionally, upper management recommends that if you
must refer to the orange cat associated with the 2001 Halloween motif,
call him Garjoe, and that if you need to mention the artist
associated with that comic strip, call him Joe David.
This month's book of the month as recommended by Lester Wilkerson:
'Quitting the Nairobi Trio', by Jim Knipfel.
